This is the first Suno AI tutorial on purpose: you leave with a finished take, not a vocabulary list. The music generator is fast, but a vague line like “emotional pop” burns credits before you hear a usable chorus.

You do not need a DAW. You do need an email that actually receives codes (Outlook or Gmail — QQ mail is a common trap), a one-sentence job for the song, and the patience to change only one variable on the second try.

When the first take exists, listen to a matching example on the works page, then come back and copy its prompt skeleton. That loop — hear, copy structure, generate — is the whole beginner path.

Common mistakes

Using QQ mail for the code

A large share of “I never got the email” reports come from SMTP blocking. Use Outlook or Gmail, or bind a new address via password reset.

Writing a mood with no job

“Cool, emotional, modern” is not a prompt. Name the use case — vlog bed, podcast sting, gym drop — so the model knows how loud and how long to be.

Regenerating instead of extending

If the chorus is good and the ending is empty, extend. Full regenerations throw away the only part you already like.
